What a year!
wau.. it's x'mas eve today. time flies ah.
looking back the year, well.. all i can say is that it's a year of trials and pretty much lots of hardships. the year of 2005 didn't go very well for me but then it is also thru these times that i learned to trust God and have more faith in him.
as a young believer, i have to admit that my faith in him is very limited but then now after so many things that happened, there were alot of times whereby there's nothing much you can really do but to trust in him.
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." - Proverbs 3:5-6
don't just read the verse. take a moment to digest it.
however, i realised that when he gives me all these trials, he also did shower me with many blessings. for instance, my dad got injured at work and needed to have his stitches removed when he comes over here. i'm like "oh my... it's gonna be very expensive cause he's an out-of-town visitor. medical bills are seriously crazy if you do not have insurance in the states."
i prayed about this matter and after a few days, i don't know why, i spoke to a friend (my bible study teacher to be exact) about it. he recommended me to call this friend of his (a doctor) and we spoke. we arranged for a time at his clinic and you know how much the bill was at the end ------- hahahaha $20 USD. it's even cheaper than removing it in singapore.
thanks to God's grace! god gave me alot of trials ( AND I MEAN ALOT. those of you who know me, oh man.. know what i mean), but then, he ALWAYS provides me with a wonderful way out in the end.
this year is a year of learning experiences in my faith. i don't regret it cause in the end, i did emerge as a stronger person.
merry x'mas everyone! have fun and EAT ALOT!! :)
i'm gonna continue on my shopping spree soon! by the way, i bought the bag!
