2006. What is installed for me?
wa ~~~, it's 2006. happy new year everyone!
the first thing that i want to eat this morning is mee tiao/mee suah. it has been a long time since i wish that i'm in singapore for the food. AND THIS IS THE TIME!! on the morning of a brand new year!
i think it must be the beers that i've drank yesterday night that made me exceptionally hungry and i seriously hope for some local comfort food now.
Mee tiao!!
talking about comfort food, i don't know what you guys need to eat after a night or day of partying but for me, hahaha, i need to eat either my mee tiao (if i'm in singapore) or a korean brand maggie noodle, which at this moment, i just can't remember its name. there's alot of noodle in the packet (which is good for hungry monster like me) and most importantly, it is SPICY (yum, yum, just nice to coat my stomach after a night of the substance).
argh! but NOW, at this moment, i can't find both these food in my pantry and i'm not too happy about it. oh well, let me see what i can dig out after i finish blogging.
************************** on another note.
the eve of 2006 was spent in a cozy, quiet way. FAR FAR away from how people in singapore celebrated. mark and clifton weren't here, so that left only with me and louanne.
i started the day with coloring my hair. the night before, i went target to get some hair coloring stuff from loreal. woo hoo.. i so love the color.
after that, we went to watch chronicles of narnia. fantastic movie, i must say. how do i judge whether a movie is good or bad? as long as i don't complain my butt is aching after sitting down for 2.5 hours, then that movie is seriously great.
after the movie, i started having cravings for krispy cream. so, louanne and i went to drive-thru to get a donut for myself. the best thing --- it's free; cause is only one donut, that's no point in charging me. wau.. what a good start to a new year.
at night, we had dinner at this restaurant called eller country wine restaurant. pretty good food but is pricey. i ordered a french wine (if i'm not wrong, is called bourgeois) to go with my pasta. it was a really nice combi. the wine is medium bodied and has a little fruity taste to it. really great!
after the meal, we needed desert so off we went to coffee exchange to get some cakes (and maybe some old time memories *wink*). after an hour or so, i told louanne that i needed some *ahem* drinks to complete my day. haha, so we came back home, watched "Making the band", then off we go again, this time to BJs to get some beer. we had sweet tooth craving again, so we decided to order a desert called "pizookie". it is cookie on top of a small baking pan topped with ice-cream.
after 2 glasses of beers, horrendously amount of sweet stuff, it is now time to kick back, relax and count down to a new 2006.
what a great day!
