yesterday

yesterday's dinner was great. it was a blast! HOWEVER, one thing i can't stand out about fine dinning is that why are their servings so small? most of us ordered a 2 course dinner (main course and desert or main course and appetizer). i had salmon while zhenlin had their famous duck dish. the duck was great, but it came with like about 5-6 slices only. my salmon was FANTASTIC! in addition she also ordered 2 appetizers - some pork rib thingy and hazenut garlic custard which you spread on your bread. both were really out of this world (err okay lah, i try not to be so exggerating). nevertheless, they were really special. initially when the main courses came, we thought that it won't be enough to fill us up. however, after the deserts, we were full beyond words. AND zhenlin "qia" the dinner. Thank you girl!

after that we went to sullivan's -- this jazz bar thingy to chill out. i heard about this drink called cosmopolitian long time ago but had ever tried it before. just happened they had that on their menu so i decided to give it a try. nah, wasn't that good that i thought i will be. however, the martini that i had before that (from terra cotta) was pretty there.
